Leaks in the evaporator coil have become more common due to formicary corrosion which is known to attack Orlando air conditioning systems. The blame for the increase in formicary corrosion cases has mostly fallen on home builders that used a cheap, Chinese drywall that had high sulphur content. The good news is that many manufacturers have made the switch to aluminum and if you had made it with copper thus far, should be in the clear.
